Waiting for every little thing to be fixed seems to take forever and it's your JOB to go and find out any little mistake you can find because guess what - it will be covered up if you do it later!
That being said, very few things were found on our inspection in the grand scheme of things. None of which required major fixes. Many things that were called out were just requests for documentation of fixes that had already been done. Or as was the case for the 'shower pan leak test' and the bath leak test, both WERE done and were written on the shower even with the date but the inspector wanted to see the standing water. All over with now though!
Tomorrow at lunch we meet with our building supervisor and do a walk through of all of their fixes.
The house is completely insulated and we passed insulation inspection and frame/topout inspection today. Tomorrow the stone crew starts the outside and the Drywall crew starts hanging drywall.
This will make for a messy few days! The dry wall takes a few days to hang, about 5 days to dry then a few more days to tape, texture and paint. We're just doing a regular paint color since Jeff and I are going to custom paint it ourselves. We're both really looking forward to it, we had such a great time painting in our last house! Jeff has become very good at doing perfect lines between two colors and we love how nice the custom colors end up looking!
The exterior will start tomorrow as well with our stone going up. I don't remember what color our stucco even is so excited to see what everything will look like together!
